Ingredients:
- 24 square wonton wrappers
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 6 oz lump crab meat, finely chopped
- 2 scallions, thinly sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a 12-slot standard muffin tin.
- Stagger two wonton wrappers to form a star shape and press them into each muffin slot until they are snug against the bottom. Brush the exposed edges lightly with melted butter to ensure a golden finish.
- In a medium bowl, cream the softened cream cheese until smooth. Hand-fold in the crab meat, garlic, scallion whites, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, and salt until just combined.
- Spoon approximately 1.5 to 2 tablespoons of the crab mixture into each wonton vessel.
- Return to the oven and bake for another 6 to 8 minutes until the filling is hot and the edges are dark golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 2 minutes. Garnish with a drizzle of sweet chili sauce and reserved scallion greens before serving.
