Ingredients:
- 4 oz strong hot coffee
- 1.5 oz Irish whiskey
- 1 tbsp packed brown sugar
- 1 oz heavy whipping cream
Instructions:
- Fill a glass mug with hot water and let it sit for 1 minute to warm the vessel.
- Discard the warming water and pat the rim dry.
- Add the brown sugar to the bottom of the warmed glass.
- Pour in the Irish whiskey and stir vigorously until the sugar is completely dissolved into a syrup.
- Pour in the hot coffee and stir gently to combine with the whiskey-sugar mixture.
- Pour cold heavy cream into a small bowl and whisk by hand (2 mins) or with a frother (30 secs) until soft peaks form.
- Hold a teaspoon upside down over the surface of the coffee, with the curved back of the spoon just touching the liquid.
- Slowly pour the cream over the back of the spoon to create a professional float.
