Ingredients:

  • 1 lb cooked chicken breast, shredded or cubed
  • 2 cups steamed broccoli florets
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1.5 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • Salt to taste
  • Cracked black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and heavy cream until the mixture is smooth and ivory in appearance. Fold in the garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme.
  2. Add the shredded chicken, steamed broccoli, and cooked rice to the bowl. Use a silicone spatula to gently fold the ingredients together until thoroughly coated in the sauce.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish and smooth the surface. Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  4. In a separate small bowl, combine the crushed Ritz crackers with the melted butter. Spread the buttery crumbs over the cheese layer.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 20 minutes until the edges are bubbling and the cracker topping is deep golden-brown and crisp.
