Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats (Do not substitute instant oats)
  • 1 cup Milk (of choice: dairy, almond, or oat)
  • 1/4 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp Chia Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup or Honey (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract (Optional)
  • Pinch of Fine Sea Salt
  • 1/2 cup Sliced Berries or Banana (For topping)
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Nuts or Seeds (For topping)

Instructions:

  1. Combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, and sea salt in a medium bowl or directly in the serving jars. Stir briefly to ensure even distribution.
  2. Add the milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup (or honey), and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix the contents vigorously for 30–60 seconds, scraping the bottom thoroughly to prevent the chia seeds and yogurt from clumping. The mixture will look liquidy.
  4. Divide the mixture equally between two prepared, sealable jars. Secure the lids tightly and place them in the refrigerator to rest for a minimum of 6 hours, or preferably overnight.
  5. The following morning, check the consistency. If the oats are too firm, stir in 1–2 teaspoons of milk until the desired creamy texture is achieved.
  6. Top with sliced berries, nuts, or seeds immediately before serving. Avoid adding crunchy toppings until the last minute.
