Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream

Instructions:

  1. In the ceramic insert of your crockpot, whisk together the cocoa powder, sugar, and salt. Ensure there are no large clumps of cocoa to prevent chocolate pockets.
  2. Pour in the whole milk and heavy cream. Stir until the sugar is mostly dissolved.
  3. Cover and set to Low for 2 hours (or High for 1 hour) until the mixture is steaming.
  4. Turn the crockpot to the Warm setting. Stir in the chocolate chips and vanilla extract, whisking gently until the chips have completely melted and the liquid is glossy.
