Ingredients:
- 1 lb Pre made pizza dough
- 2 tbsp All purpose flour
- 60 slices Turkey pepperoni
- 1 cup Part skim shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup Lower sodium marinara sauce
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Dried oregano
- 12 Fresh basil leaves
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll the pre made pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 1/8 inch thick. Use a pizza cutter to slice the dough into 12 even strips.
- Spread a very thin layer of the 1/4 cup marinara sauce down the center of each strip until the dough is barely covered.
- Place 5 slices of turkey pepperoni along the top half of each strip, overlapping them slightly until the pepperoni overhangs the top edge.
- Sprinkle the 1 cup of mozzarella cheese over the bottom half of the dough strips.
- Fold the bottom half of the dough up over the cheese, meeting the bottom edge of the pepperoni.
- Starting from one end, roll the strip tightly until you reach the end of the dough.
- Pinch the bottom of the dough to seal it, then place it into a greased muffin tin.
- Brush the tops with the 1 tbsp of olive oil and sprinkle with the 1 tsp garlic powder and 1 tsp oregano.
- Bake in a 375°F oven for 18 minutes until the edges are dark golden and the cheese is bubbling.
- Once they come out, let them sit in the tin for about 5 minutes. Garnish each one with a fresh basil leaf right before serving.
