Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced finely
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp dried rosemary leaves
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Mince the garlic until it is nearly a paste and combine it in a serving bowl with the dried oregano, rosemary, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Stir these together with a small spoon so the salt starts to draw a bit of moisture out of the garlic.
  2. Pour the extra virgin olive oil over the herb mixture and stir gently to ensure all herbs are submerged. Let the mixture sit for 2-3 minutes to allow the herbs to infuse.
  3. Sprinkle the grated parmesan over the top and drizzle the balsamic vinegar directly into the center of the oil, allowing it to bloom naturally to create a swirl effect.
