- 1 package (5 oz) French Vanilla Instant Pudding mix
- 2 cups cold whole milk
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 box (11 oz) vanilla wafers
- 6 large ripe bananas, sliced
- 12 oz whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk using a hand mixer until completely smooth and velvety, ensuring no lumps remain.
- Slowly whisk in the cold whole milk, instant pudding mix, and vanilla extract. Beat for 2 minutes until the mixture begins to thicken and the color is a consistent pale yellow.
- Line the bottom of a 9x13-inch glass baking dish with a solid layer of vanilla wafers. Top with a layer of sliced bananas.
- Pour half of the pudding mixture over the bananas, smoothing it with a spatula to cover all edges. Repeat the layers: wafers, bananas, and the remaining pudding mixture.
- Spread the whipped topping evenly over the final pudding layer. Garnish with crushed or whole vanilla wafers. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving to allow the wafers to soften to a cake-like consistency.
