Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas until mostly smooth, then whisk in the pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until the mixture is uniform and glossy.
  3. Sift the flour, baking soda, salt, and pumpkin pie spice directly into the wet ingredients. Gently fold the mixture together with a spatula until no streaks of flour remain.
  4. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
