Instructions:

- Place the pan over high heat. Bring the liquid to a rolling boil, stirring constantly until the sugar and salt crystals have completely dissolved and the liquid appears crystal clear.
- Remove the pan from the heat immediately and let the liquid sit for 10 minutes to cool slightly before pouring over vegetables.
