Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Pour the water, vinegar, salt, and sugar into the saucepan. Use a whisk to stir the mixture together while cold to ensure the salt is evenly distributed.
  2. Place the pan over high heat. Bring the liquid to a rolling boil, stirring constantly until the sugar and salt crystals have completely dissolved and the liquid appears crystal clear.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat immediately and let the liquid sit for 10 minutes to cool slightly before pouring over vegetables.
