Ingredients:

  • 1 cup white distilled vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp kosher salt
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp black peppercorns
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds

Instructions:

  1. Add the white vinegar, water, kosher salt, and sugar to a small saucepan. Stir in the black peppercorns and mustard seeds.
  2. Place the pan over medium-high heat and stir constantly with a whisk until the liquid reaches a simmer and the salt and sugar grains have completely dissolved.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat immediately once it simmers to prevent excessive evaporation. Allow the liquid to cool for 2-3 minutes before pouring over vegetables.
