Ingredients:

  • 1 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 1 tbsp pickling salt
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 6 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 6 sprigs fresh dill
  • 3 tsp black peppercorns
  • 1.5 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 3 lbs cucumbers, sliced

Instructions:

  1. Place the smashed garlic, fresh dill, peppercorns, and red pepper flakes at the bottom of each clean Mason jar.
  2. In a mixing bowl or shaker jar, combine the white vinegar, filtered water, salt, and sugar.
  3. Whisk vigorously for 60 seconds or shake until the salt and sugar crystals are completely dissolved.
  4. Pack the sliced cucumbers tightly into the jars, pressing them down firmly around the flavor pack.
  5. Pour the brine over the cucumbers until they are completely submerged.
  6. Seal the lids tightly, give the jars a gentle shake, and place them in the refrigerator to steep for at least 12 hours.
