Ingredients:
- 1 cup distilled white vinegar
- 1 cup filtered water
- 1 tbsp pickling salt
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 6 cloves garlic, smashed
- 6 sprigs fresh dill
- 3 tsp black peppercorns
- 1.5 tsp red pepper flakes
- 3 lbs cucumbers, sliced
Instructions:
- Place the smashed garlic, fresh dill, peppercorns, and red pepper flakes at the bottom of each clean Mason jar.
- In a mixing bowl or shaker jar, combine the white vinegar, filtered water, salt, and sugar.
- Whisk vigorously for 60 seconds or shake until the salt and sugar crystals are completely dissolved.
- Pack the sliced cucumbers tightly into the jars, pressing them down firmly around the flavor pack.
- Pour the brine over the cucumbers until they are completely submerged.
- Seal the lids tightly, give the jars a gentle shake, and place them in the refrigerator to steep for at least 12 hours.
